Denis Bouckaert, founder of Den Anker Restaurant at the V&A Waterfront, began brewing Anker Bier in Belgium in 1996, importing it to South Africa to serve exclusively at his restaurant. At the time, craft beer was virtually unknown, making Anker Bier a unique offering and the restaurant’s signature house beer. Bottle size is 440ml with an alcohol content of 5%.
