Meerlust Chardonnay is a refined white wine from the Stellenbosch region of South Africa. It shows a very bright pale-yellow colour with a green, vivacious hue. On the nose there are complex, appealing aromas of apricot, peach, pear, lemon zest and floral notes with hints of toasted almonds. On the palate the wine is medium-bodied, structured, and linear while retaining focused stone fruit flavours with sleek, balanced acidity. It remains fresh and vivacious on the finish with clean citrus fruit and stony minerality, leading to a long and pleasant lingering finish.
